EMAN FTC provides PAPI lighting systems services for airports, airfields and aviation contractors in Riyadh and across Saudi Arabia. We support equipment supply, installation, replacement, maintenance and electrical fault assessment, with the work agreed around your system and project requirements.
A Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) gives pilots visual approach-slope guidance through red and white light indications. Our PAPI and approach lighting products form part of our wider airport lighting range.
PAPI installation and replacement
Planning a new installation or replacing damaged equipment? Send the approved layout, equipment specifications and site details. We review mounting arrangements, electrical connections, power supplies and control interfaces before confirming the installation package.
The scope can include:
- PAPI equipment supply and installation.
- Replacement of existing units and compatible components.
- Power and control connections.
- Electrical testing and commissioning support.
- Maintenance and fault investigation.
Foundation work, specialist alignment, flight inspection and acceptance responsibilities are identified separately in the quotation.
Upgrading an existing PAPI system
An LED upgrade starts with checking the installed equipment. The existing mounts, power arrangement and controls need to suit the proposed replacement.
For example, an operator replacing an older halogen system should provide its model numbers and electrical drawings before ordering new units. This helps establish which components can remain and what additional work is needed.
Where the specified system uses series-circuit power equipment, review our CCRs and isolation transformers alongside the PAPI requirements.
Fault finding and maintenance
If a unit stops operating, share the fault symptoms, equipment model and maintenance history. Photographs of the unit, nameplate and visible damage can help with the initial assessment.
A damaged housing, failed electrical connection and reported change in the light indication need different investigations. Electrical faults can be reviewed through our control system fault analysis services. Optical or alignment concerns require the appropriate specialist checks.
Maintenance activities follow the equipment instructions and agreed service plan. Replacement parts are checked against the installed model.
Alignment, testing and handover
Physical installation, alignment and flight inspection are separate parts of a PAPI project. The quotation should identify who performs each activity and which records the airport operator requires.
Electrical test results, equipment details and installation records can be included in the handover package. Specialist verification and acceptance requirements must be agreed before work begins.

Project support across Saudi Arabia
Based in Riyadh, EMAN FTC accepts enquiries from Jeddah, Dammam, Jubail, Al Khobar, Dhahran, Yanbu and other Saudi locations. Mobilisation depends on the agreed work, equipment availability and airport access arrangements.
For work at an operating airport, include the permitted working hours and handback requirements. An overnight installation window needs to accommodate access, installation, checks and clearing the work area.
